During the Fall of my sophomore year, I applied to be a Gamma Chi which is a recruitment counselor for formal sorority recruitment in the Fall semester. I was fortunate enough to get an interview and later, accepted into becoming a Gamma Chi!
Becoming a Gamma Chi is something I thought about since the beginning of this year. I have to sadly disaffiliate from my own chapter though but I will be able to help potential new members find their home away from home. Finding my home in a sorority at CMU has made all the difference in my college experience.
Gamma Chi’s are everything from mentors, mothers, listeners, and motivators. My goal is to help my ten-fifteen potential new members feel confident in themselves and to find a chapter in which their values align with their own.
